Bridgewater Brigade

The Bridgewater CFS (Country Fire Service) is a dedicated, friendly group of professionally trained volunteers who deliver fire and rescue services to the local community and beyond.

Every year our volunteers contribute to the safety of our community, responding to bushfires and grass fires, building and motor vehicle fires, road crashes, storm damage and flooding.

We work alongside the MFS, SES and other emergency services. We also work with local government to assist with strategies for fuel reduction and to educate the community about bushfires and fire safety.

We’re always on the lookout for new volunteer firefighters and operational support personnel. If you’re interested in finding out more, drop by the station for a chat during Monday night training (from 7pm) or call our Duty Officer on 0438 560 035.

Bridgewater Op Shop

Whether you are looking for clothes, toys, books or general household items – the Bridgewater CFS Op Shop has it all. Come and browse for bargains!

The Op Shop is run entirely by our team of volunteers, with all proceeds going to the Bridgewater CFS. Thanks to the Op Shop, the brigade has been able to purchase items beyond those funded by government, that help our volunteer firefighters better protect our local community.

We always welcome more helping hands for sorting and selling goods – speak to a team member at the Shop to find out more about joining.

Donations of goods for the shop may be left in the bins outside the shop. If donations are too large to fit in the bins, please donate during shop open times. Furniture, mattresses, electrical goods and dirty or broken items are not accepted.
